The leader of La France insoumise (LFI), Jean-Luc Mélenchon, will appear on the list of his movement in the European elections on June 9, in 80th position, that is to say without any chance of being elected, announced , Saturday March 16, the head of the list Manon Aubry on TF1. A mention that must “push and give strength to this list”, she declared a few hours before the launch meeting of her campaign, in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis).

“We have the right to say that the European elections of 2024 prepare for the presidential election of 2027”, then declared Jean-Luc Mélenchon, facing the activists of this meeting (3,000 according to the organizers). From the Villepinte exhibition center, he also warned: “If you abstain, you vote for Macron and Le Pen”, adding: “I demand that you commit.”

Manon Aubry says she aims for first place on the left and a score of 10%, while in the various polls, her list is given around 7 or 8%.
