Jean-Luc Mélenchon calls on deputies not to “rush” to the article on the age of departure

Jean-Luc Mélenchon has not sat in the National Assembly since June 2022, but he continues to punctuate part of the debates that take place there. The former presidential candidate called on Thursday, February 16, the deputies not to “dash” towards article 7, key article of the pension reform on the retirement age at 64 years.

“Incomprehensible withdrawal of PCF amendments. Why rush to Article 7? The rest of the law doesn’t count? Can’t wait to get beat up?”rebuked the figure of La France insoumise, on the social network Twitter.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon reacted to the decision of the Communist deputies, Thursday morning, to withdraw all their amendments up to article 7, that is to say some 350 amendments. This strategy was already that of ecologists and socialists, the other partners of La France insoumise within Nupes. “Let every parliamentarian take their responsibilities”pleaded the spokesperson for the Communists, Sébastien Jumel, to the press.

Renaissance rushes into the breach opened within the Nupes
