In mid-September, Jean-Luc Lahaye made an appearance at a Harley Davidson party, in his eternal leather jacket. He chained the poses near the racing car before finding Bébert des Forbans as in the good old days, taking advantage of this newfound freedom. Only a few months ago, Jean-Luc Lahaye was serving a prison sentence in the VIP area of the Maison de la Santé – spending six months behind bars. Finally released after the revelation of new elements in the case of rape and sexual assault on minors of which he is accused, the 69-year-old artist must face a new disappointment.
On December 23, he intended to go back on stage to celebrate his 70th birthday. But the concert will not take place, as decided by the judge in charge of his case who banned him from exercising his activity, we learn from BFMTV, this Saturday, October 22. The case continues for the singer who had been indicted and imprisoned for acts of rape and sexual assault on minors. The message The Phoenix appeared in large letters on the poster, but there was therefore no question of rising from the ashes on stage for his birthday. The order varying his judicial review was issued on October 4.
The victims supposedly “hit” by this return to the scene
Jean-Luc Lahaye is therefore struck by “a ban on exercising the professional activity which would have allowed the commission of the offenses for which [il] is put on trial“. The investigating judge thus clearly specified that it was about “public appearances and performances as part of his activity as an artist“. Adding a “ban on carrying out an activity involving contact with minors“, which says a lot. At the beginning of October, on the airwaves of RMC, the two young girls who accuse the singer of rape, Roxane and Emeline, had taken the floor to denounce the facts of which they would have been victims, as well as the fact that he wants to perform on stage again.”For me, a lot of it happened in the dressing rooms, backstage at concerts.confided Roxane. So necessarily, I am shocked by the programming of these new dates. It is precisely his job as an artist and his notoriety that allow him to act with greater ease, he has real power through his popularity, and that is the danger. I fear for other young girls.“
For his part, Jean-Luc Lahaye, who already has the obligation to check in once every two weeks at a Paris police station, immediately appealed against the judge’s order modifying his judicial review, as reported by our colleagues this day. The Paris Court of Appeal will therefore have to re-examine his professional situation, before a hearing can be held by the end of the year.
Jean-Luc Lahaye remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final closure of the case
