Jean-Louis Gasset will become OM coach, replacing Gennaro Gattuso

The former Ivory Coast coach will replace the Italian coach, who will leave the Marseille club after Sunday’s defeat against Brest (1-0). He will start on the Marseille bench Thursday evening, in the Europa League.

Olympique de Marseille will appoint Jean-Louis Gasset as coach, replacing the Italian Gennaro Gattuso, the Sports management of Radio France learned from a source close to the technician, Monday February 19.

The former Ivory Coast coach, aged 70, will sign up for a period of six months, according to our information. Ghislain Printant will accompany him as his deputy. He will replace the Italian Gennaro Gattuso, who will leave the club “by an amicable agreement”, the day after the defeat against Brest (1-0) in Ligue 1.

Jean-Louis Gasset will start on the Olympian bench on Thursday, at the Vélodrome stadium, against the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, in the second leg of the Europa League. The Marseille club conceded a 2-2 draw in the first leg.
