A hell of a spade sent to its former competitors. Jean Lassalle, ex-candidate of Résistons! in the presidential election, “sent a check for 10 euros to the LR, EELV and PS candidates”, namely Valérie Pécresse, Yannick Jadot and Anne Hidalgo, Thursday April 14. The idea came to him after “call for donations” by Valerie Pécresse “to reimburse his campaign expenses”.

Like the socialist and environmentalist candidates, the president of the Ile-de-France region has not reached “the fateful threshold of 5%” in the first round, which would have enabled him to obtain reimbursement of his expenses by the State up to 8,004,225 euros.

And as the deputy of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques is not stingy with sound bites, he added: “We often need someone smaller than ourselves”quoting La Fontaine’s fable The lion and the rat. “Everyone will have understood the little wink”he quipped.
