Jean-Jacques Goldman’s sister-in-law speaks out after years of silence!

A news item adapted for cinema. Released on September 27, 2023, The Goldman Triala feature film by Cédric Kahn with Arieh Worthalter and Arthur Harari in the leading roles was well received by the press… but Christiane Succab-Goldman, widow of Pierre Goldman, did not appreciate this film!

The proof, the latter reacted to this work where the assassination of her late husband is recounted. A rare speech insofar as, just like her direct brother-in-law Jean-Jacques Goldman, the widow had preferred to remain silent for many years.

“If I speak today it is because there have been things accumulated over time that have been harmful to me and my family,” she said in The world

this Wednesday October 4, 2023. “Alive or dead, Pierre was an object of frenzied fantasies. Cédric Kahn’s film was undoubtedly the spark that encouraged me to come out of my reserve. I become a real fake myself.”added the librarian.

A first rant

As a reminder, this is not the first time that the widow of Jean-Jacques Goldman’s brother has spoken following an artistic project centered around the assassination of Pierre Goldman. Already in 2005, the latter came out of silence to react and above all denounce the words of Michaël Prazan in his book entitled Pierre Goldman, the shadow brother.

“Prazan reports the most contradictory and above all the most malicious hypotheses which combine to subtly suggest the idea that Pierre Goldman had not stolen his ‘execution'”, she wrote. “I, who have known Pierre for years, do not recognize him anywhere in this poisonous and fleshless caricature. Prazan dares to assert on me, on us, on our life, errors and lies so heavy, that I am truly proud that we have known, to this extent, to protect the intimacy that we have stolen from life forever. […] No offense to Prazan, Pierre and I deeply loved and respected each other. As for my son, […] he is not ‘the most sublime failure’ of Pierre, but a child of love, deeply desired and awaited by both of us: a victory of life”, she concluded at the time.

As a reminder, Pierre Goldman, the half-brother of singer Jean-Jacques Goldman, was murdered in the street at close range on September 20, 1979 at the age of only 35. An unsolved case but claimed by a telephone call to AFP:“Today, September 20, 1979 at 12:30 p.m., Pierre Goldman paid for his crimes. The justice system having once again shown its weaknesses and its laxity, we did what our duty commanded us. We claim this act in the name of the group “Honour of the police””, the group declared.

Following the tragedy, nearly 15,000 people, including many left-wing personalities, attended the activist’s burial at the Père-Lachaise cemetery. His wife had given birth to their son Manuel, a few days after his assassination.
