Jean-Jacques Goldman crowned “favorite French personality” for the 13th time… but “he doesn’t care”!

It’s a coronation that he no longer expects, but that he continues to care less about. For the thirteenth year, including the seventh in a row, Jean-Jacques Goldman was crowned by the JDD favorite personality of the French. The singer, who is conspicuous by his silence and who now lives as a recluse in London, has made a bit of noise this year, coming out of the woodwork on a few occasions following biographies published without his consent, and which he firmly disapproved. In 2013, while the JDD had tried to obtain an interview to react to his coronation, the French favorite singer had given an unfiltered response, which left no room for doubt as to his opinion on this ranking: “I do not wish to participate in this oddity of the times which consists of saying very loudly and everywhere that we have nothing special to say (…) I don’t care if people like me or not. I am not looking for any other form of recognition than a smile in life.”

With thirteen coronations, Jean-Jacques Goldman remains behind Abbot stonecrowned favorite personality of the French on sixteen occasions, and far behind Commander Cousteau, unbeatable number one with 22 titles. The singer Yannick Noah received eleven titlesagainst six for Zinédine Zidane, three for Omar Sy And Sophie MarceauAnd two for David Douillet. No other French personality has managed to obtain the first place in the coveted ranking, in which few political figures appear.

Vianney enters the top 5, Mimie Mathy and Florence Foresti finish

In this new top 50, the first ten places are reserved exclusively for men: Florent Pagny makes a breakthrough in second place, and dethrones Thomas Pesquet, who loses a place. Omar Sy follows in fourth place, followed by the singer Vianney, who goes from 19th place to fifth ! Soprano, Francis Cabrel, Grand Corps Malade, Dany Boon and Philippe Etchebest conclude this top 10. There are few women in its ranking, and the first only comes in fifteenth place: this year again it is the actress Sophie Marceau. Then follows the host Karine Le Marchand (18th) and Alexandra Lamy (19th), who made a crazy breakthrough by gaining 35 places. Virginie Efira also creates a surprise by gaining 23 places, and ranks 24th. Stéphane Plaza remains 27th, footballers plummet

Athletes make a heavy fall in this ranking: the first only comes in 17th place, and he is not a footballer since he is a judoka Teddy Riner, which gains seven places. In 22nd place, Kylian Mbappé loses eighteen places, just like his counterpart Antoine Griezmann, who went from 11th place to 26th place. In 38th place, rugby player Antoine Dupont makes a nice entry. Finally, last athlete to appear in the top 50: Olivier Giroud, who leaves the top 10 for 48th place. On the political side, only one political figure is in this ranking, and it is a surprise: Jordan Bardella of the National Rally does better than Emmanuel Macron, Marine Le Pen, Elisabeth Borne or Gabriel Attal, and ranks directly in 30th position. Finally, on the television side, Philippe Etchebest remains number one, ahead of Cyril Lignac (14th)Karine Le Marchand (18th), Stéphane Plaza (27th), Stéphane Bern (28th), Jean-Luc Reichmann (37th), Évelyne Dhéliat (46th) and Faustine Bollaert (49th).
