This Thursday, October 26, 2023, Release dedicated his portrait of the day to Manuel Goldman, son of Pierre Goldman and nephew of Jean-Jacques Goldman. During his interview with our colleagues, the 44-year-old rapper, known under the pseudonym Riski, notably returned to the memories of his childhood in Paris, evoking the comments of his teachers concerning his father, as well as the observations of his classmates about his uncle who, at the time, was starting to make a name for himself in the music world.

However, despite Manuel Goldman’s family ties and admiration for his uncle, the artist regrets no longer being in contact with Jean-Jacques Goldman. “He’s someone who matters to me, even if I hardly see him anymore.”

An emblematic figure of French song, Jean-Jacques Goldman left the music scene years ago. Exit the rhinestones and sequins, the singer preferred to move away from the spotlight to devote himself to his family.
