Jean-Jacques Bourdin removed from the antenna, the host pushes a rant!

A strong announcement fell this Sunday, January 23. In a press release, the Altice group indicated that Jean-Jacques Bourdin was “temporarily” removed from the antenna. “This decision was taken so as not to prejudice the daily operation of BFMTV and RMC. This temporary withdrawal from the antenna will prevent political and media manipulation of this affair. The group recalls that Jean-Jacques Bourdin vigorously disputes the facts denounced and benefits from the presumption of innocence“, commented the group via the press release.

Recall that the host of the morning show “Bourdin Direct” is accused of attempted sexual assault. The complainant, a former journalist for BFMTV and RMC who rubbed shoulders with Jean-Jacques Bourdin for several years, affirms that the latter “grabbed her by the neck and tried to kiss her several times” in 2013 in a swimming pool of a hotel in Calvi, Corsica.

Following this announcement from the Altice Media group, Jean-Jacques Bourdin reacted and did not fail to deplore the choice of his management. “JI regret the unilateral decision of the BFMTV Group and RMC to withdraw me from the antennas to prevent the risk of instrumentalization of the complaint of which I am the subject“, lambasted the journalist in a press release sent by his lawyer and relayed by La Dépêche. Anne Nivat’s husband also lamented that “that the principle of presumption of innocence be ignored […] I would like to thank the listeners, listeners, viewers who show me their support“.
