Jean-Claude Camus breaks the silence on his grandson Joalukas, the son of Yannick Noah

They lived together for 18 years. 18 is also the age of their son, Joalukas. Isabelle Camus, daughter of Jean-Claude, historical producer of Johnny Hallyday, and the champion-singer Yannick Noah unfortunately separated at the end of 2021. At “Gala”, the successful creator of the series “A guy , a girl” who revealed Jean Dujardin and Alexandra Lamy, explained the reasons for their breakup, in particular linked to the Covid: “For Yannick and me, confinement was a psychological ordeal. A couple, for it to work, it needs to be watered. Separation is the best solution. Yannick was the man of my life. I managed a lot of things because he was often absent. My ideal man will have to be faithful, honest, caring and funny, like Yannick was. If it is, he and I will meet one day”, she confided at the time. Invited on the Jordan De Luxe TV set, Jean-Claude Camus returned to his regrets, in particular not having been present in his daughter’s childhood. “She did not have a happy childhood with me. I never picked up Isabelle at school, for example. Because it was madness, I was outside, everywhere, in the provinces, etc. And it’s true that I didn’t spoil her youth…” Moved, the producer confides that his former “job is dramatic for family life and couples”. And that to compensate for his absences, he decided to “catch up afterwards” with his grandson Joalukas, by devoting time to him.

It’s a bit complicated to keep his feet on the ground”

But the latter admits: “At times I had a complex to say to myself: and my daughter next door, she must say to herself, but why didn’t I have all that? This is one of my great regrets.” And goes on to show himself extremely proud of his daughter’s success by evoking the success of his television series which revealed Chouchou and Loulou: “She did it on her own. It was done practically in secret from me. She borrowed some money from somewhere else. She didn’t want it to be Camus the father who had done that…” he underlines. When Jordan De Luxe asks Jean-Claude Camus about his ex-son-in-law, his face lights up. The former producer of Taulier points out that he remained very close to Yannick Noah who considers him “the patriarch” since the latter has lost both parents. And adds with a smile: “We keep very close ties. (…) He gave me a beautiful grandson”. A little “Jo” whose grandfather seems very close and who can’t help worrying about him. very well-known ancestry: “It’s complicated for Jo because he has a mother who had this big success, his father who is stopped everywhere in the street, including abroad. (…) And then me obviously, it’s a bit complicated for him to stay down to earth”, he explains. And to specify the atypical style of education of the young man: “In addition, he left with his parents practically four years on a boat to circumnavigate the world. It cut him off from everything. For him, it’s a bit complicated to manage all the same.” to the “sons of…” who often don’t find their place in the shadow of their famous parents. Let’s hope he goes his own way.
