Jean Castex has decided to raise the tone on the controls of health passes, we learned Tuesday, December 21 from government sources. During a videoconference consultation this Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister instructed the prefects to redouble their firmness during checks in all establishments open to the public (ERP), especially in coffee shops.

The police are called upon to further control the health pass and the identity of customers in the face of the proliferation of false passes. Moreover, according to our information, the government is once again considering the idea of allowing staff in coffee shops to directly check identity cards at the same time as the health pass. The measure, already envisaged, was ultimately not adopted when the health pass was introduced.
