Jean Castex’s turn to provide the presidential after-sales service. The day after publication of an interview in which Emmanuel Macron declares his desire “to piss off” the unvaccinated, so that they accept their first injection, the Prime Minister assured, Wednesday January 5 during the session of questions to the government of the Senate, “hear everywhere” comments similar to those of the president.

“Who outrages the nation? Who fractures the nation? Who leads caregivers in our emergencies to make dramatic ethical choices? Well that’s a tiny minority”, launched the head of government during questions to the government in the Senate. “Being a citizen also means having duties”, insisted Jean Castex, calling for “empower our fellow citizens”.

The Prime Minister was arrested at the beginning of the session by the president of senators LR, Bruno Retailleau, then by that of the centrist group, Hervé Marseille, in front of a Chamber heated by the words of the Head of State. “No health emergency justifies words of such brutality, such indignity”, in particular stormed Bruno Retailleau, by pinning the “verbal violence” of the Head of State.

While the controversy ignited Tuesday evening the National Assembly, causing the suspension of the examination of the text on the vaccine pass, Jean Castex called to resume “the course of things”. “This text is a major tool in the fight against this galloping pandemic”, pleaded the head of government who then went to the National Assembly at the request of the oppositions. He enjoined the deputies “to debate quickly” of the law on the vaccination pass.
