The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, was in Haute-Savoie, Saturday, November 6. The latter announced a health protocol for ski resorts, to allow their reopening and that of ski lifts.
Visiting Grand-Bornand, in Haute-Savoie, Saturday, November 6, Jean Castex detailed the outlines of the health protocol put in place next week in ski resorts. “We agreed that there would be no health pass, unless the national incidence rate exceeded 200 cases [pour 100 000 habitants]”, said the head of government. For now, it is around 60 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In the queues for the ski lifts, the mask will be compulsory, just like in the cable cars.
Mountain professionals show their relief after the closures of last year. “It was important to have a clear vision. We have rules, we will work with them in the best conditions”, relates Alexandre Maulin, president of Domaines Skiables de France. But elsewhere in France, caution is in order: the mask is again compulsory in establishments open to the public in the Bas-Rhin as well as in schools in 39 departments, from Monday, November 8.
