Prime Minister Jean Castex is to go to Rennes this Tuesday, Matignon announces. A trip around regional languages and the State-Region Plan contract (CPER). The head of government will be accompanied by two ministers, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Joel GiraudMinister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities.
At first, Jean Castex must go to the Jacques Prévert school, to “to attend the signing of the specific agreement for the transmission of the languages of Brittany and for the development of their use in daily life”. Then, in a second, he will go to the regional prefecture, for the signing of the Regional State Plan.
The CPER provides 970 million euros, shared between the State (48%) and the Region (52%), to finance investments “around six major challenges for Brittany: its peninsular geography, the strengthening of its economic and social development, its maritime dimension, the preservation of territorial balance, ecological transitions and the maintenance of social cohesion“, we continue on the side of the services of the Prime Minister. By adding the public investments already planned or contractualized over the same period, the envelope reaches 1.6 million euros, indicates Matignon.
