Remember that he mentioned during a debate on Tuesday that 80% of immigrants go to Montreal, do not work, do not speak French or do not adhere to the values of Quebec society.
The political analyst did not go with dead hand towards the deputy of the CAQ during his editorial.
“It is not the Minister of Mines who said that. He is the one who is supposed to fight against prejudice. The one who is supposed to welcome, as it should, these immigrants who come to lend a dead hand in Quebec, to integrate them adequately, ”was angry Yasmine Abdelfadel.
In the same breath, the latter recalled that the CAQ government was already in hot water when the outgoing Prime Minister added fuel to the fire. It would be “suicidal” for Quebec to welcome more than 50,000 immigrants a year, according to François Legault.
Yasmine Abdelfadel “is full of his helmet” that immigrants are treated like less than nothing.
She is not the only one to be out of her hinges after being made aware of these remarks. The Liberal Party candidate in Verdun, Isabelle Melançon, strongly criticized the outgoing government’s comments.
“A divisive speech like that, it’s not the Quebec I want, it’s not the Quebec I want my children to live in,” she said on QUB radio. .
