Absences are increasing for the men’s XV of France. The French Rugby Federation announced on Sunday, October 23, the withdrawals of prop Jean-Baptiste Gros, second row Florian Verhaeghe and full-back Romain Buros for the November tests against Australia, South Africa and Japan.

They are respectively replaced by the pillar of the French Stadium Clément Castets (26 years old, 0 selection), the second line of Bordeaux-Bègles Thomas Jolmes (27 years old, 2 selections) and the young versatile rear of Castres Louis Le Brun (20 years old, 0 selection) in the group of 42 players called to prepare for the fall tour.

Big Arm Fracture

Jean-Baptiste Gros was the victim, on Saturday, with his Toulon club of a fracture in the right forearm during a match of the 8th day of Top 14 against Castres. Romain Buros, who had a shot to play in the absence of the usual holder of the Blues at fullback, Melvyn Jaminet, injured his thigh against Clermont, while Florian Verhaeghe, touched in the adductors, disputed the entire meeting of Montpellier on the ground of Racing 92.

Coach Fabien Galthié had already had to make a first adjustment to his initial list during the week, replacing the third line of Pau Jordan Joseph, package, with that of Union Bordeaux-Bègles Bastien Vergnes-Taillefer.
