TO barely 18-year-old pianist Joey Alexander is already considered like a great musician in the jazz world.

He was initiated by his father, a jazz fanatic who always accompanies him on tour. It was he who gave the young man a keyboard for his sixth birthday. Four years later, far from his native Indonesia, he won an improvisation competition in Ukraine. At age 11, Joey Alexander recorded his first album. Several times nominated for Grammy Awards, he even plays at the White House, with saxophone legend Wayne Shorter. Through his music, Joey Alexander lives his faith, as when he plays a ballad of grace. “Music, for me, is steeped in spirituality. For each concert, we pray before going on stage ”, explains the musician.
