This Tuesday, May 2, 2023, France 2 should broadcast a new number of Meeting in unknown land. An episode in which Jarry and Raphaël de Casabianca will go to meet the Inughuit, in Greenland. For the occasion, the 45-year-old comedian was, this morning, on the airwaves of South Radio. An interview during which the latter spoke about his adventure. Hungry on the set, the young dad had a lot of trouble adapting. “Even though it goes against my values, if he hadn’t killed the seal, I was going! At some point, it drives this feeling crazy”, he launched before going into details. According to him, the seal “tastes like wild boar with a little taste of fish”. “It’s a very strong meat”, he specifies.
During this trip, Jarry had the opportunity to discover a completely different culture. A culture that notably allowed him to open his eyes to his own situation. “I understand that they hunt, we don’t live on the same planet at all. I was so cold and I understood that if you don’t eat, you die”.

“I was very afraid of the unknown”
In a recent interview for puremedias.com, the comedian had already mentioned the difficulty of filming on the other side of the world. “Everyone tells you it’s a wonderful trip but I was very afraid of the unknown. Before leaving, I really had no information. It was quite complicated to live for me who controls everything in my career and in my life”he said.
And to continue: “I wasn’t afraid of being close to Raphaël because we had met 3.4 times before filming. I was afraid of going to a place where people weren’t going to accept me. I don’t I didn’t want to play a role. I had warned the production that I didn’t want to hide the fact that I was homosexual, that I had children. That I was a hypersensitive person. I didn’t I didn’t want to say ‘it’s great what you’re doing’, so emotionally I didn’t mean it. The meeting had to be on both sides. I really wanted to live a real adventure, not just a TV show. I really wanted them to discover Jarry”. Touching confidences.
