The Francos de Montréal made the announcement today on their website. “Problems related to the artist’s schedule” would explain this cancellation.
The Francos specify that Jane Birkin thanks all her fans in Montreal and that she hopes to be back soon. No postponement date has been announced.
The London-born singer had to pass through Montreal to promote her album Oh ! sorry you were sleeping…, composed of original songs whose artist signed all the texts. The production and the composition were ensured by Étienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot.
Note that Jane Birkin is to present several concerts in France this spring, notably in Saint-Brieuc on June 5 and in Metz on June 24. For the moment, no other show has replaced the concert scheduled in Montreal on the calendar of the artist’s official website. His concert scheduled for May 11 in Clermont-Ferrand has also been postponed to November. No official reason was given.
