According to CNN, the 55-year-old comedian is under observation at a medical facility in the state of Georgia, where he is currently filming a new movie for Netflix.

“My dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday,” his daughter Corinne Foxx posted on Instagram on Wednesday. “Fortunately, thanks to quick action and quality care, he is already on the road to recovery. »

The medical emergency took place outside the filming of Back in Actiona new Netflix movie where Jamie Foxx is to co-star with Cameron Diaz, according to CNN.

According to the people site TMZ, the actor’s condition was deemed serious enough for his family, some of whom were not there, to go to the hospital.

But “he is communicating now, and that’s good news,” an anonymous source told this specialized media.

During his career, Jamie Foxx notably won an Oscar in 2004 for his stunning portrayal of singer Ray Charles, soul legend, in the biopic Ray.
