Around fifteen vehicles from the James Bond films will be on display at the International Spy Museum in Washington from March 1 as part of the “Bond in Motion” exhibition.
These cars, boats and other vehicles “all stood by James Bond, helped him through all his adventures and often created moments that left an indelible mark on popular culture,” says Meg Simmonds, an archivist from the company EON Productions.
“We have 17 vehicles in this exhibit, from cars to boats to flying machines. Some were designed and manufactured especially for the Bond films,” says Kathryn Keane, the museum’s vice-president of exhibitions and collections.
“We won’t see them anywhere else. And it was a bit of a logistical challenge. We are on the third floor of the museum. We had to lift them up without using a crane, get them into the space, get them started and inflate their tires. They are big, heavy and cumbersome things. »
