James Bond | An Aston Martin DB5 used for stunts sold for nearly 4.5 million

(London) A replica of the Aston Martin DB5, which was used for the James Bond stunts No Time To Diewas sold on Wednesday for nearly three million pounds — around C$4.5 million — at auction, in a charity sale that raised more than six million pounds.

The results of this sale, organized by Christie’s to celebrate sixty years of James Bond in the cinema, reached 6.1 million pounds sterling (11.1 million CAN) for 25 lots, according to the official James Bond Twitter account @007 .

This Aston Martin DB5 is the only stunt car to date offered for sale by Aston Martin and EON productions

The funds collected are intended for 45 associations, including the foundation of Prince Charles – before he became king with the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 – or Doctors Without Borders.

Sold for 2.922 million pounds sterling (4.3 million CAN), the DB5 replica, the emblematic model of 007, is one of eight examples specially designed and manufactured for the filming of the feature film made in 2021 and the only car of stunts to date offered for sale by Aston Martin and EON productions, according to Christie’s.

Another Aston Martin, an early 1980s V8 model also appearing in Dying Can Wait, sold for 630,000 pounds (over C$933,000), a third, a recent DBS Superleggera, for 403,000 pounds ( over C$597,000).

Other items on sale also included costumes and accessories related to the famous saga.

At the same time, 36 other lots were auctioned online from September 15 to October 5.
