Jakob Pelletier’s summer job

Jakob Pelletier lived up to his reputation as a tireless worker this summer. The third leading scorer among rookies last season in the American Hockey League has been busy in recent weeks, putting the package for the next training camp of the Calgary Flames. To take his mind off things, the Quebec native went to work at his brother Charles-Antoine’s grocery store in Saint-Lazare-de-Bellechasse, where The sun visited them.

When the author of these lines walks through the door of the small business on rue Principale, the Pelletiers are hard at work in the aisles. As the meeting takes place on a Wednesday morning, Jakob and Charles-Antoine place freshly delivered boxes on the shelves of the grocery store. Their mother, Nancy Latulippe, is restocking the displays in the fruit and vegetable section. All inventory is neatly placed and aligned.
