CF Montreal has reportedly acquired striker Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty from Toronto FC, according to a source from The Canadian Press.
Under the deal, Toronto would receive up to $1.3 million in general allocation money.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been announced.
A 20-year-old, Marshall-Rutty signed with Toronto in January 2020 as an organizational development player.
He prepared the winning goal on Sunday against Pachuca in the Leagues Cup, but he has struggled to get regular playing time so far.
In the first round of the League Cup, CF prepares to visit the Philadelphia Union on Friday evening.
