Jade and Joy in tears, Mickey Rourke upset … A poignant preview with Laeticia Hallyday

Fans of Le Taulier can finally discover the documentary My name is johnny. Just before the screening of this docu-live in CGR cinemas on Thursday evening, a world premiere was held on December 1, 2021 at the Regal Cinema in Los Angeles. An event in which Laeticia Hallyday and her daughters, Jade and Joy (17 and 13 years old), naturally took part since they live not far from there. In its Friday edition, The Parisian recounts this emotional evening.

Nearly 200 guests were able to discover Pascal Duchêne’s documentary event before everyone else. On screen, spectators thus followed the scenes of Johnny’s North American tour in 2014, the Born Rocker Tour, which passed through Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Washington, Houston, New York … for its premiere. and the only American tour, the Taulier had performed – not in stadiums – but in smaller venues, no less prestigious. Among the guests was American actor Mickey Rourke, a longtime family friend who, as our colleagues report, attended the screening alongside Mark Mahoney, Johnny’s tattoo artist.

Just before the screening of My name is johnny, Laeticia Hallyday and her youngest daughter Joy took the stage to say a few words to the audience. “Johnny’s dream comes to an end with this documentary. Without cinema and music from America, Jean-Philippe might never have become Johnny“, notably launched the widow of 46 years, microphone in hand. Beside her, Joy also addressed the fans,”in perfect english“:”My dad dreamed his whole life of performing on the legendary American stages and he was so proud to do so. There is not a day that we do not think about him. We miss him, and we love him more than anything. “
