Jacques Legros pays tribute to Jean-Pierre Pernaut on the TF1 newscast, viewers don’t miss it!

It’s already been a year since Jean-Pierre Pernaut left us. It was indeed on March 2, 2022 that the famous presenter of the 1 p.m. television news on TF1 died at the age of 71, from lung cancer. The first anniversary of his death, yesterday, Thursday March 2, 2023 was therefore a day of tributes on social networks, starting with those of his family.

“I love you, I miss you a lot. Give me back his smile, his laughter, his hugs, his voice, his humor, his generosity” for example wrote his 20-year-old daughter, Lou Pernaut, on Instagram, in caption of a souvenir snapshot. It was then the turn of Tom, his 18-year-old son, to address a few tender words: “1 year, passed both so quickly and terribly slowly… Difficult to remain the smiling boy, in a good mood and to act as if nothing hadn’t happened… A big thank you to all those who accompany me every day”.

Death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut: the tribute to Jacques Legros which does not pass
If a tribute documentary will soon be broadcast on TMC, to once again pay tribute to Jean-Pierre Pernaut, the TF1 channel took care, this Thursday March 2, 2023, to give a nice nod to the former journalist… and it was Jacques Legros, at the controls of the 1 p.m. newscast, who was forced to do so.

A year later, no one has forgotten the man who presented this newspaper for almost 33 years! With his outspokenness, his good humor and above all his love for our regions, in Picardy his region of birth and heart, everyone pays tribute to him…” declared the journalist before launching a report dedicated to the husband of Nathalie Marquay Pernaut.

Something to annoy Internet users to the highest degree, the latter having not forgotten that Jacques Legros strongly criticized Jean-Pierre Pernaut on several occasions: “Jacques Legros seems very badly placed to pay tribute to him after his very inappropriate comments on JPP in his book. Very inelegant…..”, “Isn’t this homage from this gentleman a bit hypocritical?”, “Jacques Legros who pays homage to him when he couldn’t stand him…”, ” Disgusting this Jacques Legros” can we for example read on Twitter.

As a reminder, shortly after the death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, Jacques Legros had swung on their professional relationship: “We were not friends, but not enemies either. I would just say that our relations were more distant and less smooth than we could have imagined it. His presence was rarely heavy. Except at the end, at the time of confinement. Our relations then became strained “he had declared before recounting the” excesses “of his colleague in a book.
