A major element of the JDA Dijon extends his contract. The French pivot Jacques Alingué, who was at the end of his contract, re-engaged until 2024 with Jeanne. Alingué, ill and absent in two of the three semi-final matches against ASVEL, is a “JDA history”: present at the club in 2014-2015, between 2015 and 2018, and since 2020. While the season is now over, further extensions may follow.
“It was a priority to stay at the JDA”
In a press release published on Monday June 13, 2022, Jacques Alingué (34), expressed his satisfaction with this signature: “I am very happy with this signature and the confidence that the club and the coach have in me. I try to return that confidence in the best possible way by giving 200% on the pitch. The values and the direction that the club is taking go hand in hand with mine. It was a priority to stay at the JDA. Dijon and me, it’s a story that has lasted for several years and which will continue, I hope, for a long time to come”.
“Jacques is the guarantor of our club’s playing identity. He is naturally associated with JDA Dijon. He is a player capable of changing the course of a match through his defensive activity, his intensity and his sense of teamwork. by training all his teammates with him. He has been one of the best defenders in the league for several years and therefore a valuable element for our team.” indicates in the same press release Fabien Romeyer, the sports director.
