The Miss France competition ceremony is fast approaching. On December 16, 2023, the 30 Miss Regionals will have to prove themselves on the stage of the Zénith de Dijon. A few weeks before D-Day, the TF1 group revealed the names of the personalities who will make up the jury responsible for electing the one who will succeed Indira Ampiot. This year, the committee has opted for a 100% female team. Among them: Sylvie Tellier, Stéfi Celma, Adriana Karembeu, Nina Métayer, Estelle Mossely, Élodie Poux and Nolwenn Leroy.
If the selection seems to please some, others are clearly not convinced. On the set of Do not touch My TVGilles Verdez did not mince these words. “The problem is that I don’t know anyone or almost no one,” he said. “For me, it’s a little weak. For the general public, for TF1… in the face of Jean-Pierre Foucault it’s not going to weigh very heavily, we’re going to say to ourselves: ‘Who are these people?’ It’s very admirable, but I find that for a Miss France jury, it lacks a bit of emblematic charisma.”

A “feminist” decision
For her part, Alexia Laroche-Joubert, president of the Miss France company, took the decision to explain this choice which Kelly Vedovelli also judges very harshly. “We said to ourselves that with the death of Geneviève (de Fontenay, the former and emblematic president of the Miss France committee, editor’s note), it was not bad to honor what I considered to be a feminist. With, in addition, Sylvie Tellier as president, we said to ourselves that it makes sense.she confided before discussing her relationship with Miss France 2002.

According to her, there is “none” “confusion” with Sylvie Tellier. “Even if we have two strong characters, and you know that I always express myself quite freely”. This is what is said.
