“We’re going down the slope towards our finale,” said Matt and Ross Duffer, adding that the fourth season will be almost twice as long as the previous ones.

“Seven years ago, we crafted the full story arc of Stranger Things. At the time, we planned for the story to take place over four or five seasons. It turned out to be too big to be told in four parts, but, as you’ll soon find out, the grand finale is approaching. The fourth season will be the penultimate season and the fifth, the last. »

The creators also took the opportunity to reveal that the fourth season will be available in two parts: volume 1 will be broadcast on Netflix from May 27 and volume 2, from May 1.er July.

“There are still many exciting stories to be told in the world of Stranger Things »added the creators, opening the door to possible spin-off series (spin off). “New plots, new adventures, unexpected heroes. But first we hope you’ll stick with us as we finish the story of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends. »

Until then, the fourth season will take viewers to the spring of 1986, when Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends, scattered between Hawkins, California and Russia, must face a horrifying new supernatural threat.

Launched in 2016, Stranger Things was entirely built as a tribute to the 1980s and strongly inspired by the worlds of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. The Netflix original series is also the one that has had the greatest success on the online video platform.
