“Let us not be lectured on the debt and the deficits”launches Bruno Le Maire. “If the Medef really wants to reduce the debt and the deficits, it must support the pension reform with a lot of will, because it is 8 to 9 billion in savings at the end of the five-year term”he suggests, calling on the employers’ organization to show “consistency“.

Bruno Le Maire also assures that the government wants a budget “which holds the balance between the protection of our compatriots and businesses in the face of soaring gas and electricity prices (…) and we claim this protection”. The minister also warns deputies: “I will not accept amendments which would increase spending and which would get us out of this 5% public deficit”.
