“At first, I thought it was because I said no to him sleeping at his girlfriend’s,” she says. But I think it’s because I took action in the face of his behaviors that were problematic.”
“He gave news to his friends and his girlfriend. But there, she tells me that she has no more news”, is alarmed Mme Lebel Brousseau.
Ongoing investigation
Leaving her home in Laval, her son could be anywhere in greater Montreal, she believes. “He knows as many people who stay in Laval, in Montreal, as in Longueuil.”
The Laval Police Service (SPL) has been investigating to find the young teenager since the first days of his disappearance.
“They still haven’t located his cellphone. He turned everything off, ”explains his mother.
“The case is still active. Investigations and disappearance files are considered a priority, says Erika Landry, spokesperson for the SPL. Every effort is being made to locate the missing person as quickly as possible.”
But it’s now been 24 days, and authorities still haven’t found him.
Precarious health
“I haven’t heard from you all week. He would have said [à sa copine] that he was going to come back last week,” the mother is in despair.
She is also worried about her child’s mental health.
“He has ADHD with opposition and aggression. It’s been 25 days since he last took his meds. He is very impulsive and can put himself in danger without realizing it. That’s what scares me,” said M.me Lebel Brousseau, terrified of imagining the worst.
“He knows bad people. It’s quite mixed, his dating. He is not affiliated with gangs, but he knows some, she continues, fearing that he may have gotten himself into trouble. We do not know [ce qui lui arrive]. It’s difficult. We cannot assume. When you start to do scenarios, it’s not always beautiful.
No matter what Jayson has been up to for more than three weeks, his mother just wants him to show signs of life.
“The only thing I want is for him to come home, or at least call me directly. But it is sure that I would prefer that he returns, ”she concludes.
The white teenager speaks French. He is 1.58 m (5 ft 2 in) tall and weighs 50 kg (110 lb). He has black hair and brown eyes.
