“It’s pitiful, these are people who make publicity stunts by sending letters that look like they were written on ChatGPT,” denounces Wednesday, August 14, Thomas Ménagé, RN deputy of Loiret, guest of the 8:30 franceinfo. He reacts to this letter sent Monday by the resigning Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, to the heads of parliamentary groups, except those of La France insoumise and the National Rally, pending the appointment of a Prime Minister by the head of state.

In this “action pact”we find priorities such as reducing deficits, increasing wages, more sovereignty, independence and public services. “Of course, we all agree on these positions, they are clichés, we are stating the obvious”tackles Thomas Ménagé. However, according to the elected representative of Loiret, “these are [le gouvernement actuel] people who have done the complete opposite since they took office.”

The RN MP wonders “concretely, on what measures can we agree?”He believes that it is possible to move forward. “if there is a total change of method, if we take up the RN amendments, if we manage to find a certain number of savings, find additional revenue, make savings on fraud, the State’s mille-feuille, immigration”. At that time, Thomas Ménagé continues, “We can provide support, but today the first letters in which our positions and the voters who are behind them are completely excluded give me little hope of being able to construct a budget that will take into account this political change and the results of the legislative elections.”

On this point, Thomas Ménagé believes that the outgoing government has not “absolutely did not understand the results of the elections that have just taken place, both the European and the legislative elections”. The government “continue as before” without realizing “what happened”, after having “got slapped” in the legislative elections, deplores the RN deputy.

Asked about the vote on the budget by the deputies, Thomas Ménagé does not wish to make a fuss “political fiction” facing a “unprecedented situation: we will perhaps ask ourselves new questions, we will see what budget, who is supporting it”he replied, not ruling out a new dissolution of the National Assembly in a year, the deadline set by the Constitution.“We are preparing for it, as we wish to govern and provide solutions to the French people,” adds the RN MP for Loiret.
