“It’s not a war, it’s a genocide”: the Archbishop of Quebec condemns the conflict between Hamas and Israel

The Archbishop of Quebec, Monseigneur Gérald Cyprien-Lacroix, does not mince his words to condemn the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

As part of the Christmas mass during which funds were raised for the Red Cross in connection with the war taking place in the Middle East, Mr. Cyprien-Lacroix expressed his thoughts.

“It is unimaginable and inconceivable that in 2023 we would be capable of such barbarities,” declared the Archbishop of Quebec.

“There are more than 20,000 people who have died in just a few months in Palestine and Israel, the majority of whom are children and women. That’s not a war, it’s a genocide,” he added.
