“It’s not a new government, it’s a reshuffle”denounced Sunday September 22 on franceinfo Sébastien Chenu, vice-president of the National Rally and deputy of the North, the day after the appointment of Michel Barnier’s government.

According to him, “We are at the heart of Macron’s government with ministers who are at the heart of the presidential logic, it’s continuity”he insists. Sébastien Chenu is referring in particular to Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet, the new Minister of Labor and Employment, one of the founders of En Marche. For the RN elected official, this new government is “contradictory with the vote expressed by the French” in the legislative elections.

“We said that we would not immediately censor the Barnier government. On the other hand, when we see the profile of this government, we say to ourselves that Michel Barnier has not scored a good point.”believes the RN deputy. “We will see what Michel Barnier tells us and, depending on the budget that will be constructed, we reserve the possibility, obviously, to censor”warns Sébastien Chenu.

Asked about the personality of the new Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, and his very right-wing positions, the RN elected official recalls that he “is escorted by a Minister of Justice who has software that is completely opposed to his own”an allusion to the new Minister of Justice, Didier Migaud, former socialist deputy. “It’s the Macronist ‘at the same time’ that never allows the subjects to be dealt with in depth”summarizes Sébastien Chenu.
