Saturday March 16, Matthias Tavel, La France Insoumise MP for Loire-Atlantique, took stock of the situation of his party at the dawn of the European elections. On the set of 19/20 info, he faces Shannon Seban, president of the Renaissance group in Seine-Saint-Denis.
While Jean-Luc Mélenchon officially launched the European campaign of La France Insoumise on Saturday March 16, the deputy for Loire-Atlantique Matthias Tavel was the guest of 19/20 info. He took the opportunity to affirm his desire to prepare “post-Macron” : “we must enter the post-Macron era, at least in substance, and then obviously until the end: that is to say until he leaves power”, declared the rebellious MP.
A “pro-Europe” speech for the Renaissance group
Faced with the rebellious MP, the president of the Renaissance group in Seine-Saint-Denis Shannon Seban wanted to position herself as “pro-Europe”in opposition to his political opponents. “On the other side, you have oppositions who have decided to make the European elections a national ballot […] the interest of the French, the security of the French, even though the war is at the gates of Europe: where is Europe in that?”, asks Shannon Seban. Faced with these remarks, the rebellious deputy wanted to criticize the speeches of the President of the Republic, which, according to him, participate in a “military escalation”.
