“I will lead this campaign” early legislative elections for the majority. Guest, Tuesday June 11, on the 8 p.m. news on TF1, the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, announced that he would lead the campaign “as majority leader, Prime Minister”. Promoting a method aimed at “always listen to the French, even when what you hear doesn’t always please you [et] try to make concrete decisions, resolve problems”he listed “priorities” for this campaign which is opening: “the major public services such as health, education, purchasing power and employment, ecology”.

The head of government, silent in the media since the announcement on Sunday evening of the dissolution of the National Assembly by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, justified this decision, which he described as “heavy”by a “risk of asphyxiation, of public impotence which existed between the chaos and disorder of the Nupes led by La France insoumise, and the chaos and disorder of the extreme right and their incompetence”. “If we want to be able to find effective solutions for the French, we must be able to act and avoid this risk of blockage,” he argued.

He also explained the dissolution by “the defeat” of his camp in the European elections, but refused to comment on the divisions of the right after the call from the president of the Republicans, Eric Ciotti, to ally with the National Rally for the legislative elections. “It is the business of the majority parties who are meeting this evening” to say if they are calling on right-wing deputies opposed to Eric Ciotti to join the presidential camp, he added.
