“It’s absolutely despicable”: donations collected during the Grande Guignolée of stolen media in Saint-Lambert

The mayor of Longueuil, Catherine Fournier, launched a call for solidarity on Saturday in response to a regrettable theft that targeted a warehouse in Saint-Lambert in which there were donations collected during the Grande Guignolée of the media of the Riviera. South.

“In total, 50 boxes containing food, new clothes and baby products were stolen without scruple, at the expense of poor families. It’s absolutely despicable,” the mayor strongly lamented on Facebook.

The theft allegedly occurred on the night of December 27 to 28.

The instigator and president of the Guignolée for 22 years, Jean-Marie Girard, indicated that more than 10% of the contents of the warehouse were stolen.

Faced with this tragedy, Mayor Fournier appealed to the generosity of citizens and businesses in the region.
