The agreement reached overnight between the States of the European Union and the European Parliament to cap certain Ukrainian agricultural imports exempt from customs duties “is not a concession, it’s a scam”castigates Wednesday March 20 on France Inter Marine Le Pen, president of the RN group in the National Assembly.
This agreement renews for one year the exemption from customs duties granted to Ukraine for two years, combining it with “safeguard mechanisms” targeting certain sensitive products. Marine Le Pen points to this agreement. It considers that the capping thresholds which have been decided are based “over years when imports have never been so enormous”. “If we continue the level of imports that we have experienced over the last two years, our farmers will die and entire sectors will collapse”she assures.
