Jérôme Pierrat, specialist in organized crime, reacts, Wednesday May 15 in the 11/13 news, to the attack on a prison van that occurred the day before in Eure. An attack which caused the death of two prison officers, and whose perpetrators are still being hunted down.
Two agents died on Tuesday, May 14, in the attack on a prison van which led to the escape of inmate Mohamed Amra. The events took place at the Incarville tollbooth (Eure). A commando attacked the van at this toll booth.
Returning to this attack in the 11/13 info, Wednesday, Jérôme Pierrat, specialist in organized crime, believes that it is “organized banditry”evoking in particular the “weapons of war” used by the commando. “As for the process itself, organized crime usually tries not to shed blood”he emphasizes.
While the fugitives are still being hunted down by the police, Jérôme Pierrat believes that “It’s a question of time” before they are arrested, “given the police mobilization”. “A runaway is very expensive, there are at least five of them on the run. (…) It’s going to be difficult to go unnoticed”he adds.
