“It’s a gesture for the planet”, schoolchildren plant trees at a farmer’s house

Equipped with boots and shovels, about twenty CM1 and CM2 from Battenheim, in the Haut-Rhin, planted trees with a farmer in the town on Tuesday afternoon. An action led by the association “of children and trees”, to sensitize the youngest to the importance of trees to the earth and to the environment.

Before planting trees in the plots, the farmer went to elementary school to explain his approach to the students.

At Grégory Thuet, shrubs, shrubs and some fruit trees have been planted. The objective is to put trees back in its plots, but also to make a landscaped insertion around its buildings. “The hedge will feed the flora and fauna. The fruit trees will be used for my personal consumption,” explains the farmer.
