Not a moment to breathe. The trio starring in Lucas Bernard’s latest film are giving interviews without a break. Installed In the garden of Bardines in Angoulême, the three actors lend themselves to the exercise in a good mood and relaxation. The romantic comedy “À toute allure” tells the incredible epic of a steward played by Pio Marmaï in love with a tactical submarine officer played by Eye Aïdara. He embarks for 90 days on board a military vessel commanded by José Garcia where he is obviously not welcome.
Pio Marmaï, one of the most popular actors of his generation, renowned for his passion and energy, was won over by the pace of the film. “It’s a delicious score, it goes quickly, you have to be both technical and at the same time, you also have to let go because we need that too, he says. You need some breath, you need some romanticism in this type of film, so it’s a combination of things that make the mayonnaise take, let’s say.” At this moment, He throws a knowing look at José Garcia who nods with a smile.
Surrounded by her two partners, the actress Eye Aïdara, revealed in The meaning of celebration and the series In therapy, She too was convinced by Lucas Bernard’s script. She loved the romanticism of this story. “I was really taken with the writing, which is quite original, and it also moves at full speed, she said. II thought that if we can take up this challenge, it could be something quite interesting. There is a bit of a UFO side to this romantic comedy.”
The lightness of the film is what seduced José Garcia. “The slightly light side in a film or in a comedy is quite pleasant, he confides. We realize that there are a lot of anxiety-provoking things these days in almost all films, we have to bring back this realism, it’s the times that want it. From the moment we stay like that in a soap bubble it’s rather pleasant.”
