The Italian Roberto De Zerbi, 45, will succeed Jean-Louis Gasset, the sports management of Radio France learned on Friday June 14, confirming information from The Team and Foot Mercato.

An agreement in principle has been reached with the English club Brighton to settle compensation covering the last two years of Roberto De Zerbi’s remaining contract. Olympique de Marseille has already reached a contractual agreement with Roberto De Zerbi, over a period of three seasons. It is hoped that his arrival will be made official at the start of next week.

The Brighton coach was not originally in the papers of the Olympian club. The track was considered “unattainable”, estimates a source close to the matter. But Roberto De Zerbi has expressed his desire to work with Marseille. The 45-year-old technician was under contract with the English club until 2026.
