The vote of June 9, “it will be either the brown pact, a mixture of climate skepticism and the extreme right, or on the contrary the green pact, the strengthening, the acceleration of ecological and social transformation”, warns, Thursday May 9 on France Inter, Marie Toussaint, head of the list of Ecologists in the European elections.
The MEP accuses the far right of deploying in this electoral campaign “two scapegoats”of which “the foreigner, who would be the cause of all our problems, including climate change”. She specifies that “environmental protection laws” are also denounced by the National Rally. “We hear the extreme right, which influences the rest of the right, explaining to us that if we stopped protecting the environment the world would be better,” castigates Marie Toussaint.
