On April 18, journalist Matthieu Lartot signed a sad announcement on social networks. Famous for his status as a rugby commentator for “France Télévisions”, the 43-year-old man must face the recurrence of his knee cancer, he who had already had to fight against the disease during his adolescence after the diagnosis of a tumor following a shock during a rugby match.
“Because nowadays everything is known… as much as it is me who announces it to you. For three weeks, I knew that this moment would arrive. Today I am forced to move away from the antenna to get back into the ring and fight cancer a second time!” he said optimistically.
The journalist then gave the details of his healing program which includes an amputation: “I am starting chemo this Monday. After that, I will have three weeks to rebuild the immunity that the first drugs will have destroyed me” a- he revealed. “After this stage, it will be” the surgical act (amputation: editor’s note)) and finally, the equipment and rehabilitation. I give myself all summer to acclimatize to my new mobility,” he added with disconcerting serenity.
