This made Faustine Bollaert want to confide in her personal experience regarding a currently popular social network: TikTok.

One summer evening, the charming 43-year-old brunette wanted to discover this social network and therefore installed the application on her phone. “I wanted to see what it looked like, because I said to myself that there is a parallel world that I don’t know. I created an account before the holidays, a few months ago“, admitted the mother of Abbie (9 years old) and Peter (7 years old). If she only thought of staying a few minutes on it, Faustine Bollaert quickly realized that she had a lot of trouble detaching herself from her cellphone. “The first evening I went there at 10 p.m. and I absolutely did not realize that I stayed there until 2 a.m.. I absolutely wanted to see the next video. The next morning, when I woke up, I said to myself ‘it’s crazy’, because I’m not addicted to social networks, but there it was addictive and i didn’t see the time passing“, she continued.

Frightened, Faustine Bollaert quickly took a radical decision so that this situation never happened again. I deleted the app thinking it’s dangerous for my real life, actually. It’s so time consuming! It all seemed lunar to me, I told myself that there were already a lot of things to swallow in our real life so as not to add myselfr, indeed, new questions through this social network, where things go so fast, because the videos last 10 seconds“, she concluded before admitting that she had made a mistake. That her public does not seek it there therefore.
