Long before becoming an actress and meeting Prince Harry, Meghan Markle aspired to become famous. To do this, the young woman has put all the chances on her side. If she concedes that this job allowed her to pay the bills and set foot in the middle of show business, Meghan Markle regrets the treatment inflicted on her and all her fellow men, as she explained in the latest episode of his podcast Archetypes released this Tuesday, October 18.
Faced with her guest Paris Hilton, the Duchess of Sussex claimed that they were treated as “bimbos” in her own words and that they were recruited on physical and not intellectual criteria. She also clarified that she had resigned, tired of being considered a vulgar object. A version that Claudia Jordan, with whom Meghan worked on the show, has categorically denied.
The 49-year-old American spoke in an Instagram story (see slideshow) as told by the Daily Mail media: “They NEVER treated us like bimboscorrected the star of Real Housewives of Atlanta. We had so many opportunities because of this show.“For her, if the physique was obviously taken into consideration, the recruiters were much more interested in the personalities of the young women: “To be clear, modeling doesn’t necessarily have to do with intellect, but for each of the shows, they chose strong-willed girls, the ones who had the most luck and guts to interact with the contestants. If you showed up and you didn’t get involved, you took your check and it was over, but if you seized the opportunities, you could do anything!“
Far from wanting to alienate Meghan Markle, Claudia Jordan indicated that her remarks did not constitute “an attack“towards the Duchess but that she had to defend the show which helped her so much to start her career:”God knows how much I’ve defended this woman for years. I will continue to do so but I don’t want there to be any misunderstanding about the atmosphere that reigned on the set and in the show in general. And I absolutely want to protect Howie Mandel [le présentateur à l’époque, ndlr] who has always been kind and respectful to all of us.“The message got through!
