“It is unthinkable to remain deaf to such hateful and homophobic chants in our stands”, wrote Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra on Monday September 25 on X (formerly Twitter). Sunday September 24, during the PSG-OM classic at the Parc des Princes, supporters of the Parisian club in fact sang offensive chants relayed on video on social networks.

“These songs spoiled the party at the Park” of Princes, insists the minister, who insists that “no matter the rivalry or the stakes, they must be fought relentlessly by the supporters, the players in the competition, the authorities and the public authorities”. “It is urgent to eradicate them from our stadiums”she continues.
The Minister of Sports also announced in her message on the social network “the disciplinary committee” of the Professional Football League “is now seized”. She “guest” also PSG “to file a complaint to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, so that they are removed from the stadiums”.

PSG wants to strengthen its prevention work
“The Paris Saint-Germain club condemns all forms of discrimination, particularly homophobia, and wishes to point out that they have no place either in stadiums or in society”indicated the capital club to the sports management of Radio France. “Paris Saint-Germain has worked for many years with leading associations in the fight against all forms of discrimination, such as SOS Homophobia, which promotes prevention within training and pre-training centers, Sportitude, SOS Racisme and Licra with the club and supporters”recalls PSG.
“The Club intends to further strengthen its prevention work in the fight against homophobia and will meet all of its partners on this essential subject in the coming days”added the Parisian club.
