Olivier Faure, First Secretary of the Socialist Party, affirms Monday, June 20 that the tabling by La France insoumise of a motion of censure against the government “is not a common position” of all the components of the Nupes “at this stage”.

La France insoumise has decided to put entry pressure on the Borne government by filing on July 5, the day of the Prime Minister’s general policy speech before the Assembly, a motion of censure.

Olivier Faure, whose party is a component of Nupes, distanced himself somewhat from the intentions of Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party: “They have the possibility. They have the number of parliamentarians necessary to do so. But I hope that all the decisions that we take in the name of the New People’s Ecological and Social Union will be taken jointly and not by the fact of one another. or others”he said.

This sounds like a warning to La France insoumise. The socialist deputies, even elected under the Nupes label, already seem to want to cultivate their difference or at least not to be sidelined: “It will be a discussion between us, between the ecologists, the communists, the rebels. At this stage, we have not yet spoken about it, but it is a possibility that we must discuss together”he said.

Olivier Faure calls for permanent dialogue: “We have to discuss everything and we are going to set up an intergroup in which we must define together the strategic options that we defend. true to our campaign spirit”he continues. “For my part, I never speak in the name of this new union without having the possibility of verifying that I share with the others the same option”he points out.
