“It is clear that this is an ethnic cleansing (…) This land, today, is being completely emptied of its Armenian population.e”, denounced Hasmik Tolmajian, ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in France, this Thursday on franceinfo, while tens of thousands of inhabitants of Nagorno Karabakh have fled the region since Azerbaijan’s lightning offensive last week last.
On the Franceinfo antenna, she mentions a “ongoing genocide“.

More than 65,000 people have taken refuge in Armenia, according to the latest figures communicated by Yerevan. This represents more than half the population of this separatist region where Azerbaijan carried out a lightning offensive last week.

Baku opened the only road linking the enclave to Armenia on Sunday, four days after the capitulation of separatists and a ceasefire agreement that pushed thousands of Armenian civilians to flee the arrival of Azerbaijani forces.
“In a few days, there will be no more Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan is committing a crime against humanity”, assured Hasmik Tolmajian, Ambassador of Armenia to France, on franceinfo.
Furthermore, the self-proclaimed separatist republic of Nagorno Karabakh announced Thursday September 28 that it would dissolve all its institutions from January 1, 2024, a week after a victorious offensive by Azerbaijan. The decree of the leader of this enclave announces the dissolution “of all government institutions and organizations (…) as of January 1, 2024″ and that consequently “the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) ceases its existence“.
