Saturday December 16, 2023, TF1 viewers attended an unmissable annual event: the Miss France election… Thus, at the end of the evening, it was ultimately Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais who is imposed against the four finalists. Ève Gilles, a 20-year-old young woman from Quaëdypre, a small town with a population of 1120, succeeds Indira Ampiot.
A regional miss that viewers noticed from the start of the competition to the extent that the latter was the only one to display a short haircut
on the Dijon Zenith stage.
A difference that makes the Dunkirk native proud. As proof, this second-year MIASHS license student (mathematics and computer science applied to the human and social sciences) has repeatedly said she wants to prove that “the image of women is diverse” by making particular reference to her short hair.

Everything happened within a few millimeters
As a reminder, everything came down to very little for the new Miss France who measures 1.70 m. And for good reason, the height required for candidates for the famous competition is now 1.70m compared to 1.72m previously.
A small change which made the difference for the beautiful Eve Gilles who could have never won the famous scarf. The reason ? On the measuring rod, a year earlier, the latter measured 1.695 m.
A few millimeters more were able to make the difference through stretching, she confided to The voice of the North, “unless, simply, the measuring rod was more generous, within a few millimeters”, the article continues.
